During The Tire Cologne ‘24 VMI will be a part of the Circular Economy area where it will introduce a new upgrade for their RETRAXX retreading system.
VMI Rubber is introducing a new option on the RETRAXX line, the cushion gum extruders for retreading shops. The new developed option is an auto-wingformer setting. Previously the operator had to manually position the wingformers to match the width of the tire, with the new upgrade this is now completely automated.
This new setting enables the operator to start automatic cycle meaning that the individual wingformers move to the optimal position without the need of manual work by the operator.
With the new RETRAXX upgrade there is less operator dependency needed to run the machine which will increase the consistency and finally result in a higher quality product. The automated wingformer setting is available on new machines and as an upgrade on selected RETRAXX machines.
