Workshop LIVE |
Hall 8, stand C31

It is crucial for the tyre specialist trade to set itself up competitively in order to also continue to exist successfully on the market in future. Vehicles are becoming technically more sophisticated all the time, the future is digital and also means ever increasing requirements for workshops: the transformation to e-mobility and the networking of vehicles are relevant themes for the industry. Especially for independent workshops and tyre specialist traders with connected workshops, it will be important to adapt the service portfolio to the future challenges of the digital workshop and to offer all-round service that meets the increasing needs of customers and generates new business for operators.

In a high-profile theme area in Hall 8, THE TIRE COLOGNE 2024 will therefore present the workshop requirements of the future with the special format Workshop LIVE and the companies Hunter and Würth. One important thematic aspect is diagnostic and repair technologies. These are developing in big steps. Ergonomics and rationalisation in tyre service, accepting a dialogue with automated tyre profile measurement as well as service for quick measurement including glass service and driving assistance calibration will thus become more frequently requested services. Another area of focus of Workshop LIVE involves the challenges and requirements that will arise through the transformation process from combustion engines to e-mobility, and thus for high voltage technology.

The latest technical applications of a model workshop will be domonstrated LIVE on vehicles in the area at various stations: Hunter and Würth will demonstrate procedures revolving around automotive glass, such as glass information and pane repair, thermal management, such as the diagnosis, repair and cleaning of air conditioning systems, and new tyre specialty trade products and state of the art tyre diagnoses will be presented.
