THE TIRE COLOGNE is focussing even more strongly on the topic of sustainability. How can the tyre industry become more sustainable? Which paths lead towards a genuine circular economy? What needs to change in the areas of tyre retreading, used tyre recycling and disposal, and what about the environmental friendliness of materials?

There is also enormous potential in recycling - for example, innovative concepts for thermal and material recycling are providing completely new impetus. THE TIRE COLOGNE 2024 presented a dedicated theme world for precisely these questions and topics for the first time: the Circular Economy Area. The circular economy is already an integral part of the tyre industry.

In 2026, we will show for the first time how sustainable raw materials, new material technologies and environmentally friendly production lead to resource-saving tire production. We create focus islands for each phase of the Circular Economy: from raw material extraction to tire production and tire recycling to tire recycling.
